Sarah Pfeffer is an associate in the firm’s litigation practice group representing clients around the state from our Pasadena office.
Sarah represents cities, special districts, and other public agencies on a range of issues in state and federal courts, including eminent domain and inverse condemnation, employment law, constitutional issues, municipal liability, and election law. Prior to joining CHW, Sarah worked on consumer and employment litigation matters on both the plaintiff and defense side, including arbitration and appellate work.
Sarah earned her J.D. from the University of California, Irvine, School of Law. During law school, Sarah served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Presiding Justice Dennis M. Perluss of the California Court of Appeal. She also worked in the Consumer Law Clinic and the Community & Economic Development Clinic, and participated in Moot Court.
Prior to law school, Sarah was an International Program Specialist at the U.S. Department of Commerce in the Commercial Law Development Program, Afghanistan division. There, she designed and implemented capacity-building and technical assistance programs aimed at bolstering international commercial rule of law development in post-conflict and transitioning countries, primarily, Afghanistan and Iraq.
