Sara is Senior Counsel with Colantuono, Highsmith & Whatley’s municipal advisory practice group and resident in our Grass Valley office.
She has with extensive experience in government counsel work, environmental law, land use, and administrative law. She provides comprehensive legal support on land use, CEQA compliance, contracts, real property transactions, employment matters, and openmeeting requirements. She drafts policies, regulations, and program guidelines; negotiates complex agreements; and advises on conflicts of interest.
Sara earned her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Rutgers Law School and began her legal career as a law clerk to Justice Walter F. Timpone of the New Jersey Supreme Court. Sara holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Conservation Resource Studies and Italian from the University of California, Berkeley. She is licensed to practice in California and New Jersey.
