Michael’s practice areas include real estate finance, secured lending, leasing, land use and planning, affordable housing, relocation and CEQA. Of counsel to Colantuono, Highsmith & Whatley, he represents cities, successor agencies and other local governments and municipalities in these matters. He has extensive experience with virtually every type of real estate matter, including property management, leasing, purchases and sales, construction and take-out and other financing, construction contracts, formation of joint ventures, general and limited partnerships and limited liability companies, land use entitlements, subdivision, development and title matters.

Michael handles extensive leasing activity for the Auburn Municipal Airport; negotiations arising from the construction of Calabasas’ recently completed Civic Center, which includes a City Hall, Library, and adjacent plaza, and complex easement relationships with an adjacent shopping center; leasing work for public agency offices, acquisitions of sites for public facilities, and other such matters for the firm’s clients.

Michael is the author of “When is ‘Fair Market Price’ the same as ‘Fair Reuse Value,” Redevelopment Journal, February 2003, and has lectured in the areas of nonprofit subsidiaries, joint ventures and social enterprises. He serves on the board of directors of the West Hollywood Community Housing Corporation.

Mr. Allderdice is a graduate of Washington & Lee University, B.S. 1970 and of George Washington University, National Law Center, J.D., where he graduated with honors in 1974.

Mr. Allderdice is admitted to the bar in California, and is a member of the California Bar Association and the Los Angeles County and Beverly Hills Bar Associations.
